MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Local resident Emily Carter reportedly declared “I’ll just do it myself” Tuesday afternoon after quietly observing a man struggle with what witnesses described as “a fairly straightforward task.”

According to sources, Carter initially attempted to remain patient while the man spent several minutes examining the situation, sighing, adjusting his grip on the object, and confidently attempting multiple incorrect solutions.

“I could feel it coming,” Carter later said. “There’s a moment where you realize this is going to take 20 minutes unless someone intervenes.”

Witnesses report that Carter stepped forward calmly before completing the task in approximately three seconds, immediately restoring order to the situation.

The man involved confirmed that he “totally had it under control” and was “about to try that exact thing next.”

Experts say the phenomenon occurs thousands of times per day across the United States.

“It's a common social pattern,” explained behavioral analyst Dr. Laura Jennings. “The phrase ‘I’ll just do it myself’ is rarely delivered with hostility. Instead, it is typically spoken with the quiet confidence of someone who has already solved the problem five minutes earlier.”

At press time, Carter was reportedly seen fixing another issue nearby after someone suggested that “maybe we should look up a tutorial.”
